My Grandma always said that it didn’t matter how big I was, I was never too big for a cuddle. Now I say the same to my kids.

Like all kids, I spent most of my childhood anticipating some future event. “I can’t wait until my Birthday!” “I can’t wait until Christmas!” My Grandma suggested I may want refrain from wishing my life away since, in effect, I was wishing hers away as well. Funny I never realized my life’s time couldn’t pass without turning the clock forward for others.
